Following the appearance of Alia Bhatt and Sharvari in the premiere episode of India’s Got Latent Season 2, host Samay Raina unveiled the second episode on July 3. This time, comedians Kiku Sharda, Chandan Prabhakar and writer Haarsh Limbachiyaa joined the panel as special guests. The episode quickly turned into a light-hearted roast of Samay, with Kiku and Haarsh taking repeated jabs at him over the abrupt end of the show’s first season in the wake of the controversy involving Ranveer Allahbadia.
As the episode kicked off, Samay Raina started announcing the show’s sponsors one by one. Amused by the seemingly endless list, Kiku Sharda seized the opportunity to crack a joke, leaving everyone in splits. He said, “You have got so many sponsors?
I thought that the way this place gets torn down so often, your only sponsors would be cement and metal bars.”
The roasting continued later in the show when Haarsh Limbachiyaa brought up the controversy that saw Samay face legal scrutiny after Ranveer Allahbadia’s remarks triggered massive backlash. In a playful jab, he joked that Samay was now a “professional” when it came to attending court hearings and handling legal matters. He was heard saying, “Say what you will, but I never made it to the highest court. He has a monthly pass. He goes there and marks his attendance. He says, ‘We will worry about the scandal later. Just mark me present.'”
Meanwhile, after the show went on air, Samay penned a heartfelt note for the panelist and called them his ‘comedy heroes.’ Sharing a picture with them, he wrote, “I grew up watching @chandanprabhakar @kikusharda and sooo many shows written by @haarshlimbachiyaa30. All of them made me laugh so much and shaped my comedy in a big way. Tonight I’m going to do Latent with them, I can’t believe it!!!! I’m so excited for you guys to see me jamming with my comedy heroesss. These guys are veterans, I cant waitttt!!”
