Mahesh Manjrekar’s ex-wife and costume designer Deepa Mehta has passed away. Mahesh and Deepa’s son, Satya Manjrekar, took to social media and confirmed the heartbreaking news of Deepa’s demise. Satya also
shared a heartwarming story as condolences and tributes poured in from friends and well-wishers.
Satya shared a picture of his mom, Deepa, on his Instagram story and shared an emotional note that reads, “I miss you Mumma ❤️🕊️.”

Tributes poured in for the departed soul, and Satya reshared emotional messages on his Instagram. One said, “Lost a guiding light today. She was more than a mother; she was an inspiration. Her strength, courage, and passion in building her saree business empowered so many girls to dream big. She will always live on through the lives she touched and the paths she paved. Prayers and strength to you, Satya. May her inspiring soul give you courage.”
Another one wrote, “I was deeply saddened to hear about your mother’s passing. She was a wonderful person, and her memory will live on in our hearts. My deepest sympathies are with you.”
“She left footprints on our hearts that can never be erased. Sending you strength to deal with the difficult days,” another one wrote.
