Twinkle Khanna’s opinions on cheating had caught everyone’s attention recently. She was even trolled for normalising physical cheating during a segment on her show with Kajol, Two Much. She said that while
emotional cheating is a dealbreaker in relationships, physical cheating can get a pass. Now, Huma Qureshi has reacted to this, stating that cheating in any form is a dealbreaker.
Speaking on Shubhankar Mishra’s podcast, Huma Qureshi said, “Cheating is cheating, physical-emotional kya hota hai, cheating, cheating hote hai. I am very clear about this. I am a very old-school, simple girl. What is emotional cheating anyway?”
When it was mentioned that Twinkle had said that young people will have this realisation in their 50s, Huma said, “I don’t believe in that. I am very black-white in this matter. Either don’t be with someone and if you are with someone, then be with them properly.”
The actress mentioned, “I don’t understand this free pass kind of thing. I can joke about it and say, ‘Don’t get caught, otherwise I will kill you.’ I don’t understand it, then don’t be with a person, stay single and do your thing.”
Previously, in a similar segment, Twinkle and Kajol had expressed that emotional infidelity was a bigger relationship dealbreaker than physical cheating as “raat gayi baat gayi”. While Twinkle, Kajol and Karan Johar believed that physical cheating is not a dealbreaker in relationships, Janhvi Kapoor condemned both forms. Twinkle said, “She’s young. She hasn’t seen everything we’ve seen.”
Karan Johar opined, “I believe physical infidelity is not a deal breaker.” Twinkle chimed in, “I mean raat gayi, baat gayi.” Janhvi held her ground and said, “Nahi, nahi. Baat nahi jaati hai.” Twinkle reiterated, “You are young.” When Karan Johar mentioned that physical infidelity is not a deal breaker, Janhvi said, “No, the deal is broken.”
Karan then explained his reasoning and said, “Thand lag jaati hai kabhi kabhi.” Janhvi said, “Nahi, nahi lagni chahiye naa! Blanket lagado.” Twinkle Khanna said, “We are 50! She’s in her 20s. She will get into this circle soon.” This clip had gone viral on social media platforms.
