Ashok Sharma is one of the 359 players that will go under the hammer in the Indian Premier League 2026 auction, scheduled to take place in Abu Dhabi on December 16. The 23-year-old right-arm medium pacer
from Rajasthan has registered himself for a base price of Rs 30 lakh. Ashok, who is making waves in the ongoing 2025 edition of Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy for Rajasthan is all certain to be picked in this year’s auction.
Ashok, who made his T20 debut on November 26, 2025, during the SMAT 2025 match between Rajasthan and Tamil Nadu at Narendra Modi Stadium B Ground in Ahmedabad, is the highest wicket-taker in the premier domestic T20 tournament.
In nine matches played so far for Rajasthan, he has picked up 20 wickets.
Ashok dismissed 3 Tamil Nadu batters in his first ever professional T20 match and picked up 2 wickets in the next match against Tripura. Against Karnataka, he finished with figures of 3 for 43 and then picked up back-to-back four wicket hauls against Uttarakhand and Saurashtra. The youngster also got rid of two Delhi batters during Rajasthan’s sixth group match of the ongoing season.

In the two Super League matches played so far, he picked up one wicket against Haryana on Friday but remained wicketless on Sunday (December 14) against Hyderabad in Pune.
In addition to his wicket-taking skills, Ashok is making headlines for his pace. He touched the speed of 150.3 kmph in the match against Hyderabad and consistently bowled in excess of 145kmph.
Part of RR in IPL 2025
Ashok was part of RR’s squad in IPL 2025 but didn’t get a chance to play any of the 14 matches for the inaugural edition winners. RR signed him for Rs 30 lakh in the IPL 2025 mega auction, and the Jaipur-based franchise is likely to bid for him once again in the IPL 2026 auction.
Apart from Ashok, Jammu and Kashmir’s Auqib Nabi Dar and Kerala’s Eden Apple Tom are also among the uncapped Indian pacers who are set to earn bumper deals in the IPL 2026 auction.
