(UP), May 16 (PTI) A 45-year-old man lodged in the district jail here in a theft case died after his health allegedly deteriorated on Saturday, police said.
Additional Superintendent of Police Krishna Gopal Singh said that Arun Verma, a resident of Meerut, had been lodged in jail since April 13 in a theft case.
Verma complained of uneasiness and restlessness, following which he was taken from the jail hospital to the district hospital, where doctors declared him dead, he said.
