one of his long-delayed projects. According to the latest buzz on social media, Pawan Kalyan’s long-pending collaboration with director Surender Reddy is back in the spotlight and could go on floors soon.
123 Telugu reported that Pawan Kalyan has signed this project with Surender Reddy few years but due to some circumstances, it never went on floors. However, now the makers are once again planning to revive the project. Pawan has already wrapped up Ustaad Bhagat Singh, and it seems he will also allot dates for film. If things go as planned then shoot might also start soon. However, nothing has been made official till now.
Pawan Kalyan-starrer They Call Him OG’s Box Office Run Cools Off
Released on September 25, the crime action thriller emerged as one of the biggest openers of 2025. Despite the initial buzz, the film’s collection is now witnessing a noticeable dip. On its second Wednesday, the film registered its lowest single-day collection so far. As per the early estimates by industry tracker Sacnilk, the Pawan Kalyan starrer has collected just Rs 1 crore across all languages in India on Day 14. As per the data by industry tracker sacnilk.com, They Call Him OG minted Rs 169.3 crore in its first week across all languages. On its opening day alone, it collected a whopping Rs 70 crore and emerged as one of the biggest openers of 2025. These numbers surpassed Pawan Kalyan’s last release, Hari Hara Veera Mallu, which collected Rs 34 crore on its opening day. The total earnings of the film after fourteen days of its release now stand at Rs 186.90 crore at the domestic box office.
They Call Him OG’s Storyline And Cast
Made under the direction of Sujeeth, They Call Him OG features a stellar cast of talented actors, including Pawan Kalyan, Emraan Hashmi, Priyanka Mohan, Prakash Raj, Arjun Das, and Sriya Reddy in pivotal roles. Set in the turbulent 1990s, the action thriller follows Satya Dada (portrayed by Prakash Raj), a Mumbai port owner whose empire is under threat by the merciless Mirajkar (Tej Sapru) and his son Jimmy (Sudhev Nair).
When a lost container containing explosives causes chaos, Jimmy takes the route of violence, killing many, including Satya Dada’s younger son. But the biggest shock in the story involves Omi Bhau (played by Emraan Hashmi), a ruthless criminal who eyes achieving the container.
With the city falling out of control, all eyes are on Ojas Gambheera, aka OG (Pawan Kalyan), a criminal boss living in exile. He unwillingly returns to Mumbai, laying the groundwork for a storm of revenge. Watch to know who OG is, why he disappeared, and how he is related to Satya Dada.
