14-year-old boy dies after suffering burns during steam inhalation

Thrissur (Kerala), Jun 21 (PTI) A 14-year-old boy died after sustaining severe burn injuries when a container of hot water overturned while he was taking steam inhalation at his residence here on Sunday, police said.

The deceased was identified as Angelo, son of Maijo, a resident of Nellani in Valakkavu.

According to police, Angelo, who had been unwell, was taking steam inhalation using boiled water at his house.

During the process, the container holding the hot water accidentally overturned, causing severe burns to his body, police said.

He was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital but succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment later in the evening, officials said.

Police have launched an investigation into the incident.

The body will
