Saurabh Dubey is a 28-year-old left-arm fast bowler from Vidarbha, and he is playing his first match of his IPL career for Kolkata Knight Riders on Wednesday (May 13) against Royal Challengers Bengaluru in Raipur. Saurabh, who joined KKR as Akash Deep’s replacement ahead of the start of the ongoing season, was included in KKR’s line-up for Wednesday’s must-win match against RCB in place of Varun Chakaravarthy

Saurabh came in as an impact sub for KKR in the second half of the match taking place at Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium in Raipur and bowled the first and third overs of RCB’s innings in the 193-run chase.
In his first over he conceded only one run against the likes
of Jacob Bethell and Virat Kohli but was smacked for six and two fours by Bethell on the first three balls of his second over. He got hit for a total of 16 runs in his second over.
He was removed from the attack by KKR skipper Ajinkya Rahane after two overs in the powerplay.
Dubey’s record in domestic cricket
Prior to making his IPL debut for KKR in Raipur, Saurabh had featured in three T20 matches but was not able to take even one wicket in three innings. He has also played eight List A matches for Vidarbha and has 16 wickets to his name.
He last played an official T20 match for Vidarbha on October 21, 2023, against Bengal in Mohali and conceded 63 runs in his quota of four overs.
Angkrish takes KKR to 192/4
Angkrish Raghuvanshi led the charge with his career-best 71 as Kolkata Knight Riders posted a commanding 192 for four against Royal Challengers Bengaluru in their rain-delayed Indian Premier League clash.
Raghuvanshi’s 46-ball innings was studded with seven boundaries and three sixes.
He shared a crucial 68-run partnership for the third wicket with Cameron Green (32 off 24 balls) and another key 76-run stand for the fourth wicket with Rinku Singh (49 not out off 29 balls), guiding KKR to a strong total after they lost openers Ajinkya Rahane (19) and Finn Allen (18) early.
