A man in Rajasthan’s Jodhpur suffered a fracture in his foot after falling from the third floor of a building, a video of which has gone viral on social media platforms. The shocking incident reportedly took place on September 9 and was caught on CCTV.
The man, reportedly a businessperson, was identified as 25-year-old Nazir. The incident happened on September 9 at about 5:50 pm. The viral video showed Nazir standing on a balcony. He was checking a bundle of clothes. Suddenly, he lost his balance. He fell over the parapet and tumbled down.
He then landed on a scooty parked on the road below. This helped reduce the impact of the fall and he survived with injuries. Nazir suffered a fracture in his foot, according to a report by India Today.

After the incident, two people quickly ran to help him after the fall. The balcony had a small room, likely being used as a godown. It stored bundles of dresses, the CCTV footage showed.
CCTV Captures Moment That Led To Tragic Fall
In the 10-second clip, Nazir is seen walking backwards towards the edge of the balcony with a water bottle in his hand. He assumes that there is a grip behind him, but loses balance and falls off the third floor. The incident happened very quickly. Then a loud sound, probably through Nazir, is echoed in the video, after which another person from the same floor runs towards the balcony.
This incident has raised concerns about safety in old buildings. As the video went viral, people are urging for better precautions to prevent such accidents.
Internet Reacts To Shocking Video
“Who the hell designed such a poor balcony without a safety grill? The builder should be put behind bars,” a user said on X platform.
Another user suggested that this is likely a result of corruption.
“That babu who took Rs 500 bribe for ‘Shop and Establishment License’” for this property should be charged with attempted murder,” the user noted.
“It was only a matter of time; it could be a child as well. Perhaps the wall was purposefully left like that to load the cloth bundles,” another user commented.
Other users also echoed similar sentiments, demanding action against the builder for the “dangerously” low wall structure.
