Nimrat Kaur has joined the cast of the superhit Prime Video show The Family Man, which will be returning to the OTT app for its third season. It will air in India from November 21 onwards. During an event
for the ongoing press tour of the show, Nimrat was seen in a Barbie pink midi dress, looking like a perfect replica of the fashion doll created by American businesswoman Ruth Handler.
The 43-year-old wore a custom outfit by New Delhi-based luxury designer Gauri and Nainika. The dress featured a fishtail element, which is a new fan favourite of Bollywood actors. Styled by celebrity stylist Shaleena Nathani, the dress was elegant and poised, with a sweetheart neckline. Giving a business professional in the front and a party at the back, the gown had an exaggerated floppy bow with long trails.
To accessorise, she wore a similar shade of pink pointed-toe heels, Swarovski crystal earrings and an ear cuff, while a few rings dotted her fingers. Nimrat’s long hair was tied in a signature Barbie high ponytail. Sleeked out with not a hair out of place, she added a few curls at the end of the ponytail. Her makeup was soft and feminine to go with the girly vibe. A graphic winged eyeliner adds some drama, and she finished off the look with some pink, glossy lips.
What to expect from the new season of The Family Man
Nimrat will be seen in the new third season of The Family Man, playing the role of Meera. She will be playing an evil role opposite actor Manoj Bajpayee, who is returning as the iconic character Srikant Tiwari in the hit spy thriller series. He will find himself on the run from new adversaries – Nimrat and actor Jaideep Ahlawat as Rukma.
In a recent interview, while talking about her character, she said she is excited to play a role different from the characters she has essayed in the past. “There’s nothing more fun than playing evil, and you don’t get to go to jail for it. You can do whatever you want! And in their universe, you can really do whatever you want and get away with murder and plotting and have a great wardrobe while you do it – in high heels, with flamboyance and sex appeal, and Meera is all about that! I find her to be evil, but in couture! It’s a girl’s dream!” she said.
