Hamirpur (UP), Sep 13 (PTI) A man allegedly killed his 74-year-old mother here by hitting her on the head with a brick following some disagreement over a property, police said on Sunday.
Anandi Yadav (52), a resident of Chandpurwa village in Hamirpur district, UP, has allegedly also killed his own younger brother over a property dispute in 2013.
Villagers informed the police about the incident late Saturday evening. Police broke the door down and arrested the Yadav.
SHO of Sumerpur police station Pawan Patel said Yadav’s mother, Ramshri, owned eight bighas of farm land and he would frequently exert pressure on her to sell it.
Yadav was granted bail in 2014 in the case of his brother’s killing and since then had been living at home with his mother,
the officer added.
The body of the deceased has been sent for a post-mortem examination. PTI COR NAV SKY SKY
