Noida Woman Upset Over Frequent Power Cuts And ‘Endless’ Ongoing Construction: ‘Yaha Ki So Called High Tech Societies’

A woman living in a Noida housing society has shared her frustration over regular power cuts and never-ending construction work inside the complex. In a video posted on Instagram, she spoke about how the reality of society living turned out to be very different from what she had expected.

She said she moved to a gated society hoping for better facilities and a comfortable lifestyle, but now feels irritated by electricity issues, maintenance charges, and constant repair work happening around her building.

Woman Shares Her Frustration

In the clip, the woman explained that she had imagined a smooth and modern lifestyle after shifting to a society in Noida.

“I am completely fed up with these Noida societies. I shifted to a Noida society thinking there

would be a swimming pool, I’d make many friends, there would be classy people, and every possible facility,” she said.

She added that the construction work inside the society never seems to stop. According to her, repair and building work continue during festivals, winters, and even peak summer months.

The woman also complained about regular power cuts during hot afternoons. She questioned why residents are paying high maintenance charges if basic services like electricity are still unreliable.

“And second is the electricity. Every other day, there is some ‘technical work’ going on and the power goes out,” she said in the video.

She further pointed out that residents are charged separately for facilities like the gym while still dealing with poor services inside the society.

Residents Discuss Society Problems

The woman also mentioned that backup power systems were not working properly during outages. She said even the DG generator was not switched on when the electricity went off.

“And now that summer is here, they’ve suddenly remembered technical glitches in their electricity,” she remarked.

Comparing her current home to her old one in Delhi, she said, “My Delhi house was better than this. What are we even getting in the name of a ‘society’?”
