Deepti-led Indian spinners reduce Pakistan to 92/7 after 15 overs

Jun 14 (PTI) Indian spinners shared six wickets among them, reducing Pakistan to 92 for seven in their ICC Women’s T20 World Cup match here on Sunday.

Deepti Sharma (2/8), Sree Charani (3/21) and Shafali Verma (1/10) shared the spoils as Pakistan faded after a strong Power Play, courtesy aggressive batting by opener Muneeba Ali.

Now, the target of 171 appears so distant after India made 170 for six, riding on a classy 68 by Smriti Mandhana and Richa Ghosh’s whirlwind 34.

Pakistan lost five wickets for just 26 runs between overs 6.3 and 12.1. The seasoned Deepti was also involved in the run out of Muneeba, Pakistan’s top-scorer with 41 off 35 balls. PTI UNG KHS
