BLACKPINK’s Rose and members of KATSEYE have received multiple Grammy nominations for the upcoming edition of the prestigious awards ceremony. On Friday, November 7, the Recording Academy released the full
list of nominees for the 2026 Grammys, which saw the global girl group earning two nominations and Rose nods for her song APT, featuring Bruno Mars, in three categories.
KATSEYE members became emotional after being nominated for the Best New Artist and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance awards. Just minutes after the announcement, Manon posted a tearful video on social media, while Lara celebrated the group’s remarkable achievement by hugging her family and expressing disbelief over the two nominations.
KATSEYE Says They Felt “Emotional”
Later, the six-member group spoke with Complex and said they felt emotional after the announcement. “In seriousness, it feels so emotional because we’ve worked so hard and our team has worked so hard. Everyone that has come together to create KATSEYE, we’ve put our genuine blood, sweat, and tears into this. It’s not everything, but it feels like everything,” said Lara.
KATSEYE’s leader, Sophia, revealed that the rest of the group, Daniela, Manon, Megan, and Yoonchae, watched the livestream at home when they learned about their nominations. She said, “We were updating our group chat, sending our reaction videos to the team and to each other, it was so funny.” The group, which hopes to win a Grammy, said it plans to party after sharing the happy news with its mothers.
BLACKPINK’s Rose Expresses Her Gratitude
Meanwhile, BLACKPINK’s Rose reached a new career high with three Grammy nominations, including two major categories, Song of the Year and Record of the Year, alongside Best Pop Duo/Group Performance. The K-pop solist was on a video call with her team, which included her sister Alice, when she received the news. The latter shared a clip of Rose shouting in disbelief as she got nominated under three categories.
Rose later shared her collaborator Bruno Mars’ celebratory message and shared her own reaction on Instagram. She wrote, “I cannot believe my life. I am STILL trying to process everything. Thank you so, so much to the @recordingacademy. This means so much to me and many, many others. I’m feeling so incredibly grateful today. @brunomars look at that!!! :,)”
