Social media influencer Mrunal Panchal Sharma, best known for her beauty and lifestyle content, opened up to her fans about her recent health scare. Through a post shared on her Instagram account, she revealed that the start of 2026 has been physically and emotionally overwhelming for her after she learned she had a dermoid cyst. She noted that there is little to no discourse about women’s health, which is why she decided to speak out, hoping her experience might help others.
“The last few days have been incredibly hard, and I honestly don’t even have the words to fully explain how I’m feeling. It’s a mix of so many emotions, and I never imagined my 2026 would begin like this,” she began her note. Alongside this, she also posted a few pictures.
One photo showed her before and after surgery. In one clip, she was seen slowly walking in a room. The rest of the slides showed her doing various things while recovering from surgery.
Mrunal Panchal Shared She Had 15 Centimetre Cyst
In the note, the digital creator shared that for nearly two years, she had been diligently following a fitness routine and a proper diet, believing she was taking the best possible care of her body. She added, “Little did I know, I was carrying a 15 cm dermoid cyst covering my right ovary. I was in pain for months and kept ignoring it, thinking it was just period pain or PCOS symptoms.”
“Over the last few years, my body has changed so much, weight gain, weight loss, all of it. I’ve been called ‘fat’, ‘pregnant,’ and I’ve been very vocal about my PCOS journey and my struggles with weight gain. I also deal with body dysphoria, and for years, unknowingly, I was carrying this huge cyst. No amount of workouts or diets were working on my lower belly, and I truly believed I’d never lose fat around that area. When I finally found out it was a cyst, suddenly everything made sense,” she mentioned.
Mrunal Panchal Asked Women To Listen To Their Bodies
In her post, Mrunal emphasised the importance of listening to one’s body. “Your body speaks to you, and those signals matter. Please don’t ignore them. Don’t overwork yourself, and don’t be so hard on yourself the way I’ve been,” she said. Further in the comments section, she added, “My case became critical, and I had to get the cyst removed. What truly breaks my heart is how little we’re educated about women’s health, the why, the how, and how early checkups could make such a difference.”

Mrunal shared that the pain was “unbearable” and she is now relearning to walk. She admitted that this phase has been especially “difficult” for her as a workaholic, as she has been advised to take rest. “I always believed that if I took time off, I wouldn’t grow. Lying in bed while my mind tells me I should be working has been mentally exhausting. But this phase has taught me something important rest is not a setback. Healing demands patience, and I’m learning to give myself the grace I denied for years,” she said.
Thanking her husband, Anirudh Sharma, family and friends, she concluded her post, saying, “This is a gentle reminder to all my girlies: Please listen to your body. Get your pelvic checkups done regularly. Your health will always come first.”
