Sep 6 (PTI) A 22-year-old labourer died in the Mohanlalganj area on Sunday, when a crane being used to lift wood logs fell on him, police said.
The crane was brought in at the order of the sub-divisional magistrate after the police were informed about the felling of Eucalyptus trees at a primary school in Dhanwara village.
The deceased, Sonu, was roped in as a labourer.
According to the police, the crane lost its balance while lifting the wood and fell on Sonu.
The injured labourer was rushed to a government clinic, where the doctor declared him dead, the police said.
The body of the deceased was sent for a post-mortem. PTI NAV VN VN
