BTS member V, also known as Kim Taehyung, once again stole hearts after sharing a series of candid photographs from his recent Hawaii trip with his close-knit friend circle, the famous Wooga Squad. The
singer posted the pictures on his official Instagram handle on December 9, offering fans a rare, intimate look at his off-duty moments with Park Seo Joon, Choi Woo Shik, Park Hyung Sik and Peakboy.
The photos captured the group in their most relaxed and natural state from soaking in the ocean waves and enjoying beachside sunsets to raising toasts and sharing laughter over meals. Far removed from the pressures of fame, the pictures reflected the easy comfort and brotherhood the five share. Fans were quick to flood the comment sections, calling the bond “pure”, “healing” and “friendship goals”.
Actor Park Seo Joon had also recently shared pictures from the same trip on his own profile, further proving how deeply connected the group remains despite their packed individual schedules. Their Hawaii album is now being hailed by fans as one of the most wholesome celebrity friendship moments of the year.
Inside The Origin And Bond Of The Wooga Squad
The Wooga Squad’s story dates back to 2016, when Park Seo Joon and Park Hyung Sik played lead roles in the historical K-drama Hwarang: The Poet Warrior Youth. During the shoot, they formed a close bond with V, who appeared in a supporting yet memorable role in the series.
Over time, Park Seo Joon’s long-time friend Choi Woo Shik joined the inner circle, and musician-producer Peakboy completed the group. What started as a drama set friendship soon turned into one of the most admired celebrity friend groups in the Korean entertainment industry.
The squad is known for taking spontaneous trips, hosting private get-togethers and supporting each other’s careers without hesitation. From attending movie premieres to showing up at concerts and drama sets, they constantly cheer each other on, both publicly and privately.
When V completed his mandatory military service in June this year, the Wooga Squad reportedly threw him a heartfelt welcome-back party. They had earlier done the same when he enlisted, showing their special affection for him as the youngest member of the group.
