Prabhas turned 47 on Friday, October 23, and birthday wishes poured in for the actor from across the film industry. Among the more personal messages came from Anupam Kher, who is currently working with Prabhas in Hanu Raghavapudi’s upcoming period drama Fauzi.
Sharing a photograph with Prabhas on X, Anupam described him as a “dearest friend and superstar icon” and spoke warmly about the actor both as a colleague and as a person. He also gave fans a small glimpse into what spending time with Prabhas on the sets of Fauzi has been like, particularly the actor’s much-talked-about generosity with food.

Anupam Kher And Prabhas Are Working Together In Fauzi
Anupam officially joined Fauzi earlier this year, with the makers announcing his casting on his 71st birthday in March. Directed by Hanu Raghavapudi, the film is set in the 1940s and centres on a soldier against the backdrop of the Azad Hind Force.
Prabhas leads the period drama, while the cast also includes Imanvi, Mithun Chakraborty and Jaya Prada. The project is being produced by Mythri Movie Makers.
Anupam had previously described himself as “proud” to be part of the large-scale project. His latest birthday post, however, was less about the film itself and more about the friendship he appears to have developed with Prabhas while working on it.
Fauzi Makers Mark Prabhas’ Birthday With New Update
Prabhas’ birthday also brought a fresh Fauzi update. The makers unveiled a new poster featuring a vintage military-inspired design and the tagline “A Battalion Who Fights Alone”. The promotional material also teased “File No: 025” and a closer reveal of Prabhas’ character.
Producer Ravi Shankar had earlier confirmed that a short video glimpse would be unveiled on October 23 to introduce the film’s story outline and offer audiences a clearer idea of Prabhas’ character.
Fauzi was earlier scheduled to release on December 3, 2026, but that date has since been pushed. The makers have not yet officially announced a new theatrical release date.
