UP: Three-storey house gutted in fire in Aligarh, no casualties

(UP), Apr 18 (PTI) A three-storey house was engulfed in a major fire, suspected to have been caused by a short circuit, near the Dharam Samaj College here, officials said on Saturday.

The incident occurred on Friday night. Fire tenders were rushed to the scene, situated in the Gandhi Park police station area, after locals raised an alarm. No injuries or casualties were reported, they said.

A senior official of the Fire Department, Mukesh Kumar, said that while exact figures are yet to be determined, initial estimates suggest losses running into lakhs.
