All set and good to go! Dhanush and Kriti Sanon’s Tere Ishq Mein is gearing up for its big release, sailing smoothly towards the big day. With just two days remaining, the film has already recorded strong pre-booking numbers. The initial response looks promising, indicating solid potential for another box-office hit.
Meanwhile, Aanand L Rai’s film has also received clearance from the Central Board of Film Certification.
Tere Ishk Mein Gets Censor Nod From CBFC
On the censorship front, the process went smoothly. The Central Board of Film Certification did not require any visual cuts, preserving the film’s intense romantic and action sequences. Only one dialogue containing a single word was modified. With this minor change, the film was granted a U/A
16+ certificate on November 24. The2 certificate lists the runtime as 169 minutes and 17 seconds, that is, 2 hours, 49 minutes, and 17 seconds.
Since the release of the trailer, Tere Ishk Mein has been creating waves among the audiences, and A.R. Rahman’s music has only made the buzz stronger, contributing to a strong start in pre-sales.
Adding to the excitement is the much-awaited reunion of Dhanush and Aanand L Rai, who return with Tere Ishk Mein, the spiritual sequel to their superhit film Raanjhanaa. The film also marks Dhanush and Kriti Sanon’s first collaboration, and fans are eagerly waiting to see the chemistry between this fresh pair.
Dhanush On Working With Kriti Sanon
At the trailer launch event, Dhanush spoke highly of the strong creative synergy he shared with Kriti on set. He said they built their characters together and described her as a “beautiful, talented, and focused” co-star. He even said that their collaboration was one of the most fulfilling aspects of the film.
He shared, “I really do feel like we’ve made a beautiful film, and I had such a beautiful, talented and focused co-star. It was so beautiful creating it together. Shankar and Mukti, we created both of them together, I feel, and it was such a beautiful experience doing that.”
Kriti Sanon On Her Character Mukti
Kriti Sanon opened up about the layers of her character, Mukti, and revealed that she personally connected with many aspects of the role. She shared, “There are some things that did connect, though a lot of things that Mukti does I wouldn’t do, but I think in the beginning there is a certain purity, you know, she’s almost naive.”
The Mimi actress added, “Where she believes in good, she believes in the good in people. That sometimes other people can’t even see toh woh jab bolti hai ki m tumhe acha non violent insaan bana sakti hu. Who actually believe karti hai ki duniya change ho sakti hai log change kiye ja sakte hai Aur sab m koi na koi achayi hai. So I think that part is somehow connected with.”
Produced under the banners of Gulshan Kumar, T-Series, and Colour Yellow Productions, Tere Ishk Mein is scheduled to release worldwide in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu on 28th November 2025.
