‘The Turkish John Wick’ Yusuf Dikec is at it again.
Turkey’s shooting superstar led his national team to three gold medals at the European Champions League of Air Weapons in Istanbul, in his classic, nonchalant and seemingly carefree fashion.

Men’s 10-Meter Air Pistol Glory
Dikec teamed up with Mustafa Inan to take down Germany’s Christian Reitz and Paul Froehlich 2-0 in the men’s team final. “Representing my country in front of a home crowd, with the tournament in Istanbul for the first time, is a great honour,” Dikec said as per Turkey Today.
“Winning gold here
feels amazing, and it’s great preparation for the World Championships in Cairo this November.”
Viral Style, Legendary Skill
Dikec first became a global sensation at the Paris 2024 Olympics, winning silver in the mixed 10-meter air pistol while relying entirely on his balance and focus—no extra gear, no gimmicks.
The nonchalant manner of Dikec’s appearance during the Olympic pistol shooting competition seemed to set him apart from other competitors.
Dressed in a loose-fitting white Turkiye team t-shirt, with small yellow earplugs, and with his non-shooting left hand resting in the pocket of his casual style tracksuit trousers, his relaxed demeanour caught the attention of people around the world on the internet and social media platforms.
It was the nation’s first ever shooting medal at the Games, making him Turkiye’s oldest ever Olympic medallist, and it’s that achievement Dikec highlighted as the main change to his life since Paris.
“I’ve always trusted my own balance and focus rather than equipment,” Dikec said. “It’s just how I feel natural, and I’m glad people around the world got to see that at the Olympics.”
