The highly anticipated ‘GlobeTrotter’ event took place last night at Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad, where the title of SS Rajamouli’s next ‘Varanasi’ was officially revealed. The teaser of the film starring
Mahesh Babu, Priyanka Chopra and Prithviraj Sukumaran was also unveiled at the event. Fans had travelled from far away, and even from outside India, to catch the first glimpse of the film. However repeated technical issues stopped the footage from playing properly. It reportedly took a few attempts before the teaser finally played on the huge screen. Now, SS Rajamouli took to his social media to thank fans for travelling such long distances to attend the GlobeTrotter event. He commended their unwavering patience, despite the technical glitches at the event.

SS Rajamouli On Technical Glitch At GlobeTrotter Event
At the event, after the teaser of Varanasi failed to play on the giant screen in the first attempt, the director apologized to fans. Rajamouli said, “Yesterday night we did not test the glimpse on this screen because a drone was flying here trying to leak our one-year-long hard work. We took a chance and now the power is not sufficient to play the glimpse. It might take ten more minutes.”
He added, “It took us 45 generators to power the screen. We were supposed to test our video last night, we worked till after midnight till 2 AM. We don’t know where people came from. They started flying drones and shooting the footage, leaking it. That is a year of hard work of many people, thousands of man power and crores of rupees. People worked day and night for this. Because of that we didn’t have the chance to even test our video. So we took a chance. People came here from so far, we wanted this to be perfect.”
Priyanka Chopra’s first look as Mandakini, and Prithviraj Sukumaran’s look as Kumbh from Varanasi were unveiled a few days ago. Mahesh Babu’s first look as Rudhra was revealed as part of the teaser which was released yesterday.
