The trailer of Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan’s Bhooth Bangla was released today at a grand event in Mumbai. The event was attended by Tabu and Akshay Kumar, along with the rest of the team of the horror-comedy. During the event, Akshay and Tabu, who are reuniting after nearly 25 years, shared a light-hearted memory.
Speaking to the media, Tabu recalled how Akshay Kumar used to pick her up on his bike when they used to attend a dance academy together. Reacting to it, Akshay shared, “I want to tell you about Tabu… I have been in this industry for around 55 years, but I have known Tabu for 38–39 years.”
Recalling how they could work together following Hera Pheri, Tabu shared, “Actually, 25 saal ye bhoot ban gaye the meri life se.” To this, Akshay
joked, “And you think they will believe?” He then clarified that due to busy schedules, they couldn’t stay in touch, but finally Bhooth Bangla felt like the right opportunity to collaborate. Akshay added, “Ye sahi film thi” for him, Tabu, and Priyadarshan to come together.
Bhooth Bangla Trailer Out
The three-minute trailer blends humour and supernatural thrills, showcasing Akshay Kumar in hilarious and eerie situations. Alongside Akshay, the film features a strong ensemble cast including Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, and Tabu, each bringing their signature comic timing and on-screen presence. The trailer highlights the film’s spooky visuals, clever comic sequences, and Priyadarshan’s signature style, balancing scares with laughter.
Bhooth Bangla Release Date
Bhooth Bangla is undoubtedly one of the most anticipated films of 2026, marking the much-awaited reunion of Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan after a long gap of 14 years. The iconic duo, known for delivering cult comedy classics, has already created significant buzz with their collaboration.
While the film was earlier scheduled to release in theatres on April 10, it will now arrive in theatres on April 16. The first show is set for 9 pm, and the opening day will be treated as a ‘paid preview’.
Producer Ektaa Kapoor confirmed the change in an official note, explaining that the call was taken after discussions with distributors and exhibitors. The statement read, “After a collective call with our distributors and the exhibitors, we have decided on a new release date for Bhooth Bangla, April 16, with the first show starting at 9 pm. Dhurandhar: The Revenge performing exceptionally well is heartening news for our film industry, and the exhibitors feel that this shift will allow both films the space, focus, and attention they deserve.”
It further added, “The Bhooth Bangla team looks forward to welcoming you in cinemas on April 16, 9 pm onwards.”
