Months after Twisha Sharma’s death, another woman has died by suicide in Noida amid allegations of dowry harassment. The 24-year-old married woman allegedly jumped from the 16th floor of Divine Meadows Society in Sector 108, just 28 days after her wedding.
The woman’s family has accused her in-laws of harassment and demanding dowry. Acting on their complaint, police have registered a case and taken her husband into custody.
According to reports, the marriage was a love marriage. The woman had been living in a flat in the society, rented for ₹35,000 per month.
The woman allegedly jumped from the society’s tower within barely a month of her marriage.
The police are investigating the matter. The incident falls under the jurisdiction of Sector 39 police station.
