Uorfi Javed never shies away from sharing her opinions openly, and recently, as Shruti Haasan caught headlines when a clip went viral claiming that paparazzi misbehaved with the actress, which left her irritated, Javed has come out in support of the paparazzi. While sharing the entire interaction, she revealed the full story, claiming no one misbehaved with the actress.
What happened?
Yesterday,Shruti Haasan stepped out with her friend and, during a conversation, she referred to her as “Amma”, which left the paparazzi confused as they assumed she said “Mumma” and tried to imitate her. In the video, Shruti is also heard saying, “Kaun hai mumma? Aapki mumma hai? Kya bak rahe ho tum?” Later, she smiled at the paps and also waved at them before getting
into her car.
Meanwhile, the clip that circulated on social media was an edited version, which made it look like the paparazzi were misbehaving with her, leaving Shruti upset.
Sharing the full video on her Instagram, Uorfi wrote, “This is the full video. I saw a lot of cut versions of it where it looks like they were saying something bad to her. In this video, it’s quite clear it’s not the case. She referred to her friend as Amma (I guess in South India people do that), and paps got confused. They thought she was with her mother. No one misbehaved with her.”
Shruti Haasan on the work front
On the work front, Shruti Haasan was last seen in Coolie in 2025 and will next appear in Train with Vijay Sethupathi and Aakasamlo Oka Tara with Dulquer Salmaan. She also recently lent her voice to a song in SS Rajamouli’s upcoming Varanasi, starring Mahesh Babu, Priyanka Chopra, and Prithviraj Sukumaran.
The plot follows the adventures of Rudhra as the city of Varanasi in India faces the impending arrival of an asteroid. The narrative spans several timelines and continents. Rajamouli reportedly conceived the film as a globetrotting adventure rooted in Indian cultural themes, drawing inspiration from the structure and emotional tone of classic adventure cinema.
Varanasi is slated for a theatrical release on April 27, 2027. With a 20-month shoot schedule, IMAX production scale, and a cast led by Mahesh Babu, Priyanka Chopra, and Prithviraj Sukumaran, the film is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated Indian releases of the coming years.
