Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat’s Storyline And Cast
Made under the direction of Milaap Zaveri, the romantic drama revolves around Vikramaditya (played by Harshvardhan Rane), a passionate artist who falls in love with Adaa (played by Sonam Bajwa), a free-spirited woman who views love as liberation rather than possession.
Their relationship begins as a passionate affair, but Vikramaditya’s love quickly becomes obsessive, and his insecurities take over. Tragedy and treachery ensue, transforming their love story into a poignant examination of desire, ego, and the thin line between loyalty and lunacy. Set against a backdrop of music, memories, and heartache, the film explores how love can both create and destroy people.
Besides the lead duo, Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat also starred Shaad Randhawa, Sachin Khedekar, and Ananth Narayan Mahadevan. The film, originally titled Deewaniyat, was renamed in May of this year.
‘Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat’s Stiff Competition With Thamma
The romantic drama locked horns with Aditya Sarpotdar’s Thamma. Starring Ayushmann Khurrana, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Rashmika Mandanna, the horror-comedy is giving tough competition to Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat. Released in theatres on the same date, the film had a solid opening at the box office.
Thamma earned Rs 24 crore on day 1, followed by an impressive Rs 18.6 crore on its second day. The total collection of the film stands at Rs 43 crore in two days. Produced by Maddock Films, the horror comedy also featured Paresh Rawal, Malaika Arora, Geeta Aggarwal and Faisal Malik.
While Thamma leads in numbers, Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat has managed to carve its own space with strong word of mouth and emotional storytelling.
