KPop Demon Hunters Release Schedule

In a chat with The Hollywood Reporter, Kristine Belson chose not to reveal any clear update about the film’s release date. Instead of giving a direct answer, she reacted by quietly lifting her finger and touching her nose, hinting that the guess about the timeline was on the right track.

When Belson was asked about the current status of KPop Demon Hunters 2 and whether directors Maggie Kang and Chris Appelhans are already working together on it, she explained that “There’s been a lot to tend to in terms of the award campaign. After all the noise and awards and big parties with big people, yes. It’ll be back to the two of them in a room.”

Building A Bigger Second Chapter

When asked how they plan to make the sequel even better, Damien de Froberville said that he once wondered how the Spider-Verse team could improve on their earlier film. But after seeing new artwork and early designs for the next part, he felt amazed and confident that it could go even further.

He believes the same idea applies to K-pop Demon Hunters. The story has many layers and strong ideas. There is the demon side, the music world of pop stars and unanswered questions about Jinu. All of this gives the team many new paths to explore. He feels there is plenty of room to grow and make the next film even bigger and more exciting.

KPop Demon Hunters premiered on Netflix on June 20 and quickly became a huge hit. Soon after its release, it climbed to the top of the platform’s charts. The movie went on to collect an impressive 481.6 million views, making it the most-watched film in Netflix history.
