The third ODI of the ongoing three-match series between India and South Africa will be played at ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam on Saturday, December 6. Both the teams have won one match each, and the winner of Saturday’s fixture will take the series. After suffering a 1-2 defeat against Australia in the three-match ODI series in October and then going down by a margin of 0-2 against South Africa in a two-match Test series at home, the Indian team would like to avoid another series defeat. On the other hand, South Africans will be high on confidence after chasing down the target of 359 runs against India in the second ODI played at Raipur on December 3.
The series decider in Visakhapatnam is expected to be another high-scoring match.
The ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium hosted multiple matches of the ICC Women’s ODI World Cup 2025 in October, whereas the senior men’s team last played an ODI match at this venue on March 19, 2023, against Australia. In that fixture, however, the Men in Blue suffered a humiliating defeat by 10 wickets under Rohit Sharma’s leadership.
