As per the police, at around midnight, these workers were clearning a swere near an apartment when suddenly toxic gas engulfed the area.
40-year-old Arvind died after being exposed to the gas, while three others fell ill.

In a similar case reported in June 2025 from Uttar Pradesh, two sanitation workers
died after inhaling toxic gas while cleaning a sewer tank in Vrindavan. UP government announced to gives Rs 30 lakh as compensation to the families of each worker.
The tragic incident occurred in the Keshav Dham area, when Narendra (38) and Chhotelal (40), were cleaning a sewer tank at a private guesthouse. As per the officials, despite the potential presence of poisonous gas, safety protocols were not followed, leading to their deaths.
