Canada deported Karamveer Deo, a senior operative and alleged close associate of Lawrence Bishnoi, in a major crackdown on the gangster’s international syndicate. Karamveer Deo was taken into custody by Punjab Police shortly after arriving at Delhi airport on a flight from Canada.
The Punjab Police had earlier issued a Look Out Circular (LOC) against Karamveer Deo, allowing authorities to detain him immediately after his arrival in India.
Karamveer Deo was among Bishnoi’s key confidants and had direct knowledge of the syndicate’s operational activities and its overseas network.
Investigators found that Karamveer Deo allegedly played a crucial role in facilitating the escape of Bishnoi’s brother, Anmol Bishnoi, from India. After reaching the United
States, Anmol stayed at Karamveer Deo’s residence. The location later came into the spotlight after videos surfaced showing Anmol partying and dancing with Punjabi singers.
Karamveer Deo allegedly served as a key logistical operator for the Bishnoi syndicate in the United States, providing shelter to gang members entering the country and assisting them with legal arrangements. As the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) intensified its crackdown on the gang’s international network, Karamveer Deo reportedly left the United States and shifted his base to Canada.
Karamveer Deo’s name had also surfaced in connection with the firing incident outside Punjabi singer AP Dhillon’s residence in Canada. Investigators have been probing the role of Bishnoi gang associates in attacks and threats targeting prominent figures in the Punjabi entertainment industry.
Punjab Police are expected to question Karamveer Deo about the gang’s international operations, its facilitators and the network of associates allegedly providing logistical support abroad.
