Estevao Willian isn’t just living up to the hype; he’s now officially walking in the footsteps of Kylian Mbappé and Erling Haaland.
The 18-year-old Brazilian sensation etched his name into Champions League
history on a glittering night at Stamford Bridge, becoming only the third teenager ever to score in each of his first three Champions League starts, following Mbappe and Haaland.
And the scary part? He’s just getting started.
Estevao’s wonder-goal against the Catalans
Chelsea barely needed to shift gears to sweep aside Barcelona under the lights in west London.
After Jules Kounde’s own goal cracked the game open, Estevao stepped up with the swagger of a seasoned superstar.

Latching onto a gorgeous ball from Reece James, the winger sent defenders spinning as he cut inside, danced into the box, and smashed a thunderous strike into the roof of the net from a tight angle, leaving Joan Garcia no chance.
Keeping Elite Company
Opta confirmed the milestone: Mbappe did it first at 18 years, 113 days with Monaco. Estevao follows at 18 years, 215 days, with Haaland completing the trio at 19 years, 107 days during his Salzburg breakout.
Before Barcelona, Estevao had already scored against Ajax and Qarabag FK.
The teenager was still buzzing afterward.
“I don’t really have any words… It was the perfect night,” he told BBC Sport.
“I just found some space, wriggled through and scored. It was such a special moment. The best of my career so far.”
A superstar on the rise
Signed from Palmeiras for €45 million in the summer of 2025, Estevao arrived as one of Brazil’s most exciting prospects and has wasted no time proving why. In just 17 matches for Chelsea, he’s already produced five goals and one assist.
For Brazil, he’s been just as electric: five goals in 11 appearances since making his debut last September.
