8-year-old dies as school gate falls on him in Lucknow

May 30 (PTI) An eight-year-old boy died after a gate fell on him on Saturday morning at a government-run day care centre in the Nishatganj area here, police said.

According to Circle Officer (Mahanagar) Ankit Kumar, the deceased was identified as Shiva Kashyap (8), a resident of Uttar Pradesh’s Bahraich district.

The incident occurred when the deceased, who was visiting his maternal uncle’s house, went to play in the park located inside the government-run Bachpan day care centre.

Police said the deceased’s body was sent for a post-mortem examination. PTI NAV ASD ASD
