Jun 29 (PTI) The Assam government has increased the annual MLA Local Area Development fund to Rs 1.5 crore from the existing Rs 1 crore for the 2026-27 fiscal, according to an official order.
The Chief Minister’s Office, in a post on X, said the decision in this regard was approved by the state cabinet.
“As approved in the #AssamCabinet meeting chaired by HCM Dr @himantabiswa, the annual allocation under the MLALAD Scheme has been enhanced from Rs 1 crore to Rs 1.5 crore per MLA from FY 2026-27, and will further increase to Rs 2 crore per MLA from FY 2027-28,” it said. PTI TR TR RBT
