Gurugram, Jun 27 (PTI) Nuh Police arrested a wanted accused who had been absconding for nearly 23 years in two theft cases, officials said on Saturday.
The police arrested Amin, against whom two separate theft cases were registered in Faridabad district — the first at the Central Faridabad police station in 2003, while the second at the City Ballabgarh police station in 2004, they said.
The accused, a resident of Singalheri village in Nuh district, had been declared a proclaimed offender by the Judicial Magistrate, Faridabad, under orders dated August 1, 2011, and November 3, 2011, due to his continuous absence from the proceedings, said the spokesperson of Nuh police.
“Acting under a special campaign being conducted in the district, the Punhana
Sadar police team arrested the accused and are questioning him,” PTI COR SHS
