The Boys Season 5 Episode 8: The final episode of The Boys, titled Blood and Bone, has been released today. Throughout its run, the globally popular series continued to push the boundaries with its dark humour, shocking violence, political commentary, and intense character arcs. Now, Homelander’s reign has finally come to an end, and even Billy Butcher has met his fate.

Who Kills Homelander In The Boys Season 5 Episode 8?

Homelander’s death scene is one of the most talked-about moments of the show. Homelander prepares to address America from the White House and declare himself as God. The Boys choose this moment to fight him, with Ashley surprisingly stepping up to help them kill Homelander.

While Homelander begins his address, Hughie and Mother’s Milk seek the chance to kill Oh Father,

and they succeed. Elsewhere, Starlight clashes with The Deep and throws him into the sea, where he is attacked by animals and is killed. All this while, Butcher confronts Homelander.

A brutal showdown follows, and just as Homelander tries to escape, Ryan shows up and teams with The Boys to attempt to kill his father. Kimiko, who had been prepping against Homelander since episode 7, finally blasts him, stripping him of his powers and rendering everyone in the room vulnerable. Butcher then lands a final blow, killing Homelander with a crowbar.

How Does Billy Butcher Die In The Boys Season 5 Episode 8?

Even after Homelander’s death, Billy Butcher’s plan doesn’t come to an end. Butcher had secretly planned to kill all supes, whether good or bad. Hughie tries to reason with him, but when Butcher doesn’t listen, Hughie shoots Butcher and kills him. The episode ends with Butcher’s funeral as the remaining members of the team bid him farewell.
