Dear X Star Kim Do-Hoon Reveals He Underwent Surgery After On-Set Bike Accident

Actor Kim Do-Hoon, who stars alongside Kim Yoo-Jung and Kim Young-Dae in the upcoming TVING original series Dear X, has spoken publicly for the first time about the motorcycle accident he suffered earlier

this year while preparing for the show. The actor, 27, revealed details of the incident and his ongoing recovery during promotions for the series.

Addressing the mishap, Kim shared that he has been focusing on proper treatment and recovery since the accident. “I’m receiving proper treatment and recovering well. It was an unexpected accident that happened during practice. I actually know how to ride a motorcycle and was being careful, but it was something I couldn’t have imagined,” he said, as quoted by Allkpop.

The accident occurred on March 24, 2025, when Kim was rehearsing motorcycle scenes for Dear X. He sustained a fracture in his left forearm, which required hospitalisation and surgery, followed by a 24-week recovery period as advised by doctors.

Reflecting on the incident, Kim shared that it taught him to be more cautious in the future. “Through this experience, I’ve learned to be even more cautious in the future,” he said. During the event, host Park Kyung-Lim playfully remarked, “You came dressed like a biker today.” To which Kim responded with humour, “I came by car today. I don’t think I’ll be riding a motorcycle anytime soon.”
