A member of the India Test squad for the ongoing two-match series with South Africa at home has reportedly asked for leaves from the BCCI to get married. Kuldeep Yadav, the left-arm spinner, is expected to get married later in November.
According to a report in The Times of India, the Indian team management will take a call after assessing when they require Kuldeep’s services.
“Kuldeep’s wedding is planned for the last week of Nov. The team management will assess when they will need his services before granting him the exact number of leaves,” a BCCI source told the publication.
Kuldeep is currently part of India’s playing XI for the ongoing 1st Test against South Africa being held at Eden Gardens in Kolkata. He took one wicket in the first innings
as the tourists were bowled out for 159 on Day 1.
The 30-year-old got engaged to his childhood friend in June this year. He was to get married earlier this year, but the function was reportedly cancelled when IPL was extended after a brief suspension due to tensions between India and Pakistan in wake of Pahalgam’s terrorist attack.
