The whereabouts of Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke and AISA president Neha Bora remained unknown on Friday after they were detained amid protests linked to the ‘Lehra Do Tiranga’ campaign in Delhi.
CJP claimed that Dipke was taken to an undisclosed location and that his family and associates had received no information about his whereabouts. The party also alleged that he was not being allowed to speak to lawyers.
AISA made a similar claim about its president Neha Bora. In a post on X, the student organisation said Bora was taken away in an unmarked car with blacked-out windows around an hour earlier. “Their whereabouts remain unknown,” AISA said, demanding an answer from the Delhi Police.
The claims came after police detained
more than 150 protesters from several locations across Delhi, including Barakhamba and Mandi House.
According to the police update, no protesters were detained from the inner circle of Connaught Place, where a march carrying the Tricolour was permitted. Police said the march lasted around 15–20 minutes and covered three rounds of the inner circle.
The police also said metro stations and markets remained open, while traffic and internet services continued uninterrupted. Security was heightened in central Delhi as Section 163 remained in force in the area.
The claims by CJP and AISA regarding the whereabouts of Dipke and Bora had not been independently confirmed by the police at the time of the posts.
