Air travel is all about passing the time till your flight lands. Some listen to music, some watch movies and others just look out the window and think. But a recent IndiGo flight caught attention for something unusual. A passenger was spotted using a tripod to hold a phone while binge-watching The Good Doctor mid-air. The setup made the airplane seat look more like a tiny home theatre than a regular flight. Instead of holding the phone, it was placed on the tripod right in front of the seat.
The individual who shared the image described it as one of the wildest things they have seen on a flight and compared it to bringing a full studio setup to 35,000 feet. Soon after the image started circulating online, many joked about the situation, while
others praised the passenger’s smart idea, calling it a classic example of desi jugaad.
Creative Way To Pass Time On Flights
The post shared on X (Formerly Twitter) came with the caption, “One of the wildest things I’ve seen on a flight: Someone on an IndiGo flight yesterday was literally using a tripod to hold his phone, just to binge a TV show/movie like he/she is at home. Brought a whole studio setup to 35,000 feet.”
One of the wildest things I’ve seen on a flight:
Some1 on an IndiGo flight yesterday was literally using a tripod to hold his phone……just to binge a TV show/movie like he/she is at home.
Brought a whole studio setup to 35,000 feet.
How Did The Internet React?
Reacting to the post, a user wrote, “Have done it multiple times. Had neck pain. So a tripod really helps you to bring the screen to eye level. Great if your flight doesn’t have a mobile stand or holder or screen.”
Another shared, “In indigo, you can simply stick your phone on the headrest cover- the thin paper can be placed between the phone cover and the phone.”
“This is next level man. Never even thought of doing this,” a comment read.
An individual stated, “Jugaad ka koi ant nahin. This is very good though.”
Another mentioned, “Do they allow a gimbal and a tripod in hand luggage? I once saw security creating a ruckus and not allowing one customer to carry in hand luggage at Mumbai airport.”
One more added, “Way better for the neck and posture. Well done.”
Some wondered if carrying a tripod is allowed on IndiGo flights. The airline had earlier clarified that passengers can bring tripods, but they need to be packed safely in checked luggage so they don’t get damaged.
