Gurugram, May 5 (PTI) A horrific road accident on Tuesday morning resulted in the deaths of five police personnel posted in Jalaun, Uttar Pradesh, police said. The incident occurred on the Kundli-Manesar-Palwal (KMP) Expressway near the Dhulawat toll plaza. According to the police, the incident took place around 10 am on Tuesday when a Scorpio car was coming from the Palwal side. Locals claimed the driver tried to overtake, but lost control and collided with another vehicle in front. The impact of the collision was so severe that the Scorpio was completely mangled, resulting in the death of all five occupants at the spot, they added. Following the accident, chaos ensued as emergency services arrived. Police and rescue teams quickly reached the site
to initiate rescue operations. The bodies were trapped in the damaged vehicle, making it difficult for the teams to remove them. An ambulance was called to assist with the operations, police stated.
“All five killed in the accident were Uttar Pradesh Police personnel posted in Jalaun district. The Superintendent of Police of Jalaun, Uttar Pradesh, has been contacted. We sent all the bodies to the mortuary and are investigating”, said Tauru police station SHO Sheeshram. MPL MPL
