The IPL continues to deliver intriguing matchups. Sunday night’s blockbuster clash between Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bengaluru produced a few such moments. However, another on-field battle carried far more intensity. Mumbai Indians captain Hardik Pandya faced his elder brother and RCB all-rounder Krunal Pandya during a crucial phase of the high-scoring encounter in Mumbai.

The sibling camaraderie briefly faded when Krunal delivered a sharp bouncer that Hardik managed to evade, leading to an intense exchange of stares between

the two.

Later in the match, Hardik was dismissed after scoring 40, and Krunal was seen celebrating the wicket animatedly as RCB moved a step closer to securing their third win of IPL 2026.

In a match that saw over 460 runs scored, Krunal stood out with an impressive bowling performance, conceding just 26 runs in his four overs while also dismissing Suryakumar Yadav for 33.

While RCB returned to winning ways, MI will be a little concerned considering the way they have started the season. After winning their IPL 2026 opener against Kolkata Knight Riders, the five-time champion have crashed to three defeats in a row and find themselves languishing at the bottom half of the IPL points table.

They will be particularly concerned with their pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah’s wicketless run so far. Bumrah has been economical but is yet to take a wicket in four matches.

Additionally, they will be sweating over the fitness of veteran opener Rohit who suffered a hamstring issue while batting and it forced him to retire after having made 19 off 13.
