New Delhi, Jun 12 (PTI) A number of provisions of the Jan Vishwas (Amendment of Provisions) Act, 2026 will come into force from June 19 this year, according to an official notification issued on Friday.
In April, Parliament passed the law which amended 784 provisions in 79 central laws for decriminalising and rationalising minor offences to further improve the country’s business environment.
“…the Central Government hereby appoints the 19th day of June, 2026 as the date on which the provisions of the said Act, in so far as it relates to serial numbers 6 and 32 and the entries relating thereto in the Schedule to the said Act, relating to the Indian Succession Act, 1925 (39 of 1925) and the Administrators-General Act, 1963 (45 of 1963), respectively,
shall come into force,” the law and justice ministry’s notification said.
This was the second part of the Jan Vishwas law. The first was enacted by the government in 2023. PTI RR MR
