Wrong Pakistan Flag Unfurled During National Anthem At FIH Pro League, Fans Disgruntled

A wrong Pakistan flag was displayed during the national anthems ahead of their clash against arch-rivals India at the FIH Pro League, an act which has left Pakistan hockey fans upset.

The national flag of Pakistan, known as the Flag of the Star and Crescent as well, features a green field with a white crescent and five-pointed star at its centre, along with a vertical white stripe on the hoist side.

Strangely, the vertical white stripe was missing from the flag that was unfurled at the national anthem.

bsolutely unacceptable at an international event like FIH Pro League. Pakistan’s flag has a white vertical stripe at the hoist – this is basic respect for national symbols. Organizers need to do better.

Pakistan opened the scoring in the game but eventually went down 3-1. They could score only two more in the final quarter to lose the game 3-4.
