Bihar DElEd JEE 2026: BSEB Extends Application Deadline To January 9

There is significant relief for candidates aspiring to pursue a DElEd (Diploma in Elementary Education) in Bihar. The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has extended the deadline for online applications and fee submission for the DElEd Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) 2026. Initially, this process was scheduled from December 11, 2025, to December 24, 2025. Now, under advertisement number PR 331/2025, the deadline has been extended to January 9, 2026, starting from December 26, 2025.

This extension applies solely to online form submission and fee payment. All other requirements outlined in advertisement number PR 323/2025 remain unchanged. This extension is a valuable opportunity for those who missed the previous deadline.

This entrance exam

will fill a total of 30,800 seats across 306 DElEd colleges in Bihar for the 2026-2028 academic session. Seat distribution is as follows: 50 per cent for science students, and the remaining 50 per cent for arts and commerce students. Additionally, 10 per cent of seats are reserved for candidates studying Urdu at the Plus Two level.

According to the board’s schedule, the online exam will be held between January 19 and February 18, 2026. Results are expected in March 2026, followed by the release of the first, second, and third merit lists. Choice locking, seat allocation, and slide-up procedures will commence in the last week of March. The entire admission process is set to be completed by the end of June 2026. The new academic session is slated to begin in July 2026.
