Cinegoers flocked to see Ranveer Singh in action and social media was abuzz with every little detail about Aditya Dhar’s espionage thriller. Fans are not just discussing the story but are obsessively exploring the real locations where the film was shot and one video on Instagram has gone viral for revealing a surprising Mumbai connection.
The video shows Ranveer Singh and Sara Arjun shooting a sequence from the song Gehra Hua at a mall. While the film’s plot unfolds in Karachi’s Lyari and narrates a high-stakes espionage story, the reel-to-real contrast is fascinating. In the clip, the lead pair can be seen interacting naturally, exploring the mall, while crew members
and cameras capture the perfect shot.

According to the clip, the shooting location was Malad West in Mumbai. Fans also quickly identified the location as Orbit Mall, confirming that the song was shot there.
Dhurandhar’s Shooting Locations
This isn’t the only time Dhurandhar’s shooting locations have caught the audience’s attention. The film was shot across a variety of striking locations including Thailand, Amritsar, Ladakh, Ludhiana, Chandigarh and multiple spots in Mumbai. One Instagram page has even shared multiple behind-the-scenes videos, showing how authentic sets were created, allowing fans a peek into the meticulous planning behind the espionage thriller.
Thailand Or Lyari
Sharing behind-the-scenes transformation of Thailand in Lyari, the user shared that a set resembling the Pakistani town was created on 6 acres of land. Newspaper clippings and footage from old Pakistani films were used to maintain the authenticity of the place. Not just that, according to the page, the famous bike chase scene from the film was shot in an underpass in Chandigarh.

In a recent conversation, cinematographer Johray revealed that director Aditya Dhar was adamant about keeping the project authentic. “Creating a set of that scale in Mumbai was not possible, especially in July with the monsoon,” he said. Johray added, “We did recce in multiple countries, but Thailand offered the perfect landscape for a larger-than-life set.”
With every new video and BTS post, Dhurandhar continues to show why it is more than just a spy thriller, it is a once in a lifetime cinematic experience.
