Kareena Kapoor-Priyanka Chopra’s Old Ad, Directed By Farah Khan, Has Fans Screaming: ‘Can Watch 1000 Times’

After featuring together in the 2004 romantic thriller Aitraaz, alongside Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Priyanka Chopra Jonas were seen together in an advertisement for a cold drink brand. The

ad campaign, which was originally released in the 2000s, has resurfaced on social media, with fans of both actresses going gaga over their Y2K aesthetics and impeccable expressions.

Kareena and Priyanka, who were the brand ambassadors for Pepsi in the past, launched a new product from the beverage company, called Pepsi Cafe Chino, a coffee-flavoured soda, in 2006. In the commercial, the two actresses stepped into the frame as “bad girls”, wearing leather outfits and promoting the new soda. Then they suddenly transformed into “good girls,” wearing blue and pink dresses, respectively, likely highlighting the product’s duality. The advertisement was directed by none other than Farah Khan.

Fans React To Kareena Kapoor And Priyanka Chopra’s Old Advertisement

The clip went viral on Instagram, garnering over 2.3 lakh views and several comments, praising both actresses. One fan said, “Bebo and her expression. Listen, none can top her in that I mean, she is so alive in front of the camera and has so much screen presence, that this little advertisement is so much entertaining to watch.”

A different individual shared, “Ads I can watch 1000 times.”

Kareena Kapoor And Priyanka Chopra’s Bond Over The Years

Back in the 2000s, Kareena and Priyanka were often portrayed as rivals, and it was alleged that their feud began on the sets of Aitraaz. Their interactions in the public eye also did little to dispel this notion. During their appearances on the popular talk show Koffee with Karan, both actresses seemed to exchange subtle jabs.

On the show’s third season, when KJo asked Kareena what she would like to ask Priyanka, she smirked and said, “I wonder where Priyanka got her accent from.” Priyanka was ready with a bold answer to her question. During her own appearance, she shared, “I think it’s the same place that her boyfriend gets it from.” These sassy jabs quickly became fan favourites. However, a few years down the line, things got better between the two. Kareena and Priyanka shared the same couch on the show’s sixth season.

In 2023, Kareena denied ever engaging in the alleged catfights with Priyanka. She candidly admitted to making “foolish” statements during her younger years and emphasised that her perspective has evolved over time. When asked about any lingering tension with Priyanka, Kareena, as reported by Mid-Day, responded with a clear, “Not at all! Rubbish. I was like, ‘What is going on?’”
