Vijay Singhal, Ashwini Joshi among 12 IAS officers transferred in Maharashtra

Mumbai, Jun 16 (PTI) In a major bureaucratic reshuffle, the Maharashtra government on Tuesday transferred 12 IAS officers, including senior officials Vijay Singhal and Ashwini Joshi, and made key appointments in agencies such as the Dharavi Redevelopment Project, CIDCO, MMRDA, MIDC and the BMC.

The General Administration Department (GAD) issued the transfer order, reassigning officers across urban development, industries, health, forest and district administration departments.

Singhal, who was serving as the Vice Chairman and Managing Director of City and Industrial Development Corporation of Maharashtra (CIDCO), has been appointed Officer on Special Duty for the Dharavi Redevelopment Project in Mumbai, a flagship urban renewal initiative of the state

government.

Prajakta Verma has been posted as the Additional Municipal Commissioner of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC).

P Velrasu, who was serving as the Chief Executive Officer of the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC), has been appointed Secretary (Forest) in the Revenue and Forest Department at Mantralaya.

Ashwini Joshi, Additional Municipal Commissioner in the BMC, has been transferred as Additional Metropolitan Commissioner of the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA).

Deependra Singh Kushwah, Development Commissioner (Industries) in the Directorate of Industries, has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of MIDC, replacing Velrasu.

Ashwin Mudgal, who was serving as the Additional Metropolitan Commissioner in the MMRDA, has been posted as Vice Chairman and Managing Director of CIDCO.

Kadambari Balkawade, Commissioner (Family Welfare) and Director of the National Health Mission in Maharashtra, has been appointed Development Commissioner (Industries) in the Directorate of Industries.

Sanjay Katkar, Managing Director of Maharashtra Information Technology Corporation, has been posted as Commissioner (Family Welfare) and Director of the National Health Mission.

The government also transferred four officers serving in district and tribal development assignments.

Zenith Chandra Donthula, who was Project Officer of the Integrated Tribal Development Project (ITDP), Kinwat, and Assistant Collector of Kinwat subdivision in Nanded district, has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of the Zilla Parishad in Gondia.

Anay Navandar, serving as Project Officer, Integrated Tribal Development Project (ITDP), Taloda, and Assistant Collector of Taloda subdivision in Nandurbar district, has been posted as Chief Executive Officer of the Zilla Parishad in Akola.

B Saravanan, Assistant Collector of Bhokardan subdivision in Jalna district, has been transferred as Project Officer, ITDP Kinwat, and Assistant Collector of Kinwat subdivision in Nanded.

Laghima Tiwari, Assistant Collector of Gondpipri subdivision in Chandrapur district, has been appointed Project Officer, ITDP Taloda, and Assistant Collector of Taloda subdivision in Nandurbar. PTI ND NP
