After an uncredited small appearance in the 1982 film Swami Dada, Jackie Shroff made his lead debut in Subhash Ghai’s blockbuster action film Hero. His performance in the role of a gangster was widely praised by the audience, making him an overnight star. Following his debut, Jackie Shroff went on to establish himself with top-grossing films in the 1980s and 1990s. Some of his widely popular films from this era include Karma, Kudrat Ka Kanoon, Tridev, Ram Lakhan, Border, and Khal Nayak, among others. Throughout his career, Jackie Shroff has received multiple awards and accolades. He won the Filmfare Award for Best Actor for his role as Kishan in the 1989 crime thriller Parinda.
