Deepika Padukone is currently gaining headlines for her stand on the fixed work hours for actors debate. The actress, who was in Madhya Pradesh on World Mental Health Day, returned to Mumbai. Now videos
of her being snapped at the Mumbai and Madhya Pradesh airports have been circulating on the internet.
In the clip, Deepika Padukone was seen looking smart in an all-white ensemble as she returned to the city. She wore a comfy white jacket paired with loose pants and matching sneakers. For the look, she tied her hair back in a bun and kept her accessories simple with a chic black bag. Deepika’s airport looks are the best to take inspiration from, as she never disappoints in slaying casual fits just like how she did here.

Deepika Padukone Becomes India’s Mental Health Ambassador
Deepika Padukone has created history by becoming India’s first-ever Mental Health Ambassador, an initiative by the Union Ministry of Health & Family Welfare. The announcement came on World Mental Health Day, as Deepika met Union Health Minister JP Nadda to discuss her collaboration with the government in raising awareness and improving access to mental health care across the country.
Deepika on the Position
Deepika, who has spoken candidly about her own battle with depression, shared her hope for a more mentally resilient India. “Led by our Hon. Prime Minister @narendramodi, our nation has taken meaningful steps to place mental health at the heart of public health,” she wrote.
She continued, “Through my own journey and the work we’ve done at @tlllfoundation over the past decade, I’ve seen how much is possible when we come together to build a mentally healthy India. I look forward to working under the guidance of Shri @jpnaddaofficial and the @mohfwindia to strengthen India’s mental health framework further.”
Union Health Minister JP Nadda praised the collaboration, calling it a landmark step in normalising conversations around mental health.
“The collaboration with Ms. Deepika Padukone will help widely disseminate awareness about mental health issues in India, normalize discussions to reduce stigma, and highlight mental health as an integral aspect of public health,” he said.
Deepika Padukone’s 8-Hour Shift Demand
In an interview with CNBC-TV18, Deepika said, “By virtue of being a woman, if that’s coming across as being pushy or whatever, then so be it. But it is no secret that a lot of superstars, male superstars in the Indian film industry, have been working for 8 hours for years, and it’s never made headlines.”
She further added, “I don’t want to take names now and make this into this whole thing, but it’s very commonly, publicly known about a lot of male actors who have been working 8 hours for years. A lot of them work only 8 hours Monday to Friday; they do not work on weekends.”
