Anushka Sharma is present at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Sunday, April 5, to watch Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s IPL 2026 match against Chennai Super Kings. In RCB’s second match of the ongoing season, her husband, Virat Kohli, opened the innings for the hosts and scored 28 runs from 18 balls. During his stay at the crease, Kohli hammered 2 fours and 1 six and added 37 runs in 4.3 overs for the first wicket with Phil Salt (46 runs from 30 balls).
Kohli scored his only six of the match on the second ball of the fourth over of RCB’s innings bowled by Matt Henry. After Kohli hammered Henry for a no-look six, the cameraman shifted attention to Anushka in the stands, and in a video going viral on the internet, she can be seen having
a wide smile on her face and clapping for the legendary batter.

Kohli, who played an unbeaten knock of 69 runs from 38 balls for RCB in their first match of IPL 2026 against Sunrisers Hyderabad, got off to a good start on Sunday as well, but he failed to convert his start into a big knock.
He was sent back to the pavilion by Anshul Kamboj in the fifth over of RCB’s innings. Kohli attempted to play a big shot off Kamboj’s bowling but was caught by Shivam Dube.
Before making his way back to the pavilion, Kohli broke the record for scoring the most runs against one team in the IPL as well as in T20s. Kohli, who is the highest run-getter in IPL history, has 1188 runs to his name against CSK in 37 T20 matches and 1174 runs in 36 IPL matches against them. Rohit Sharma is now second in the list.
Rohit has played 36 T20 matches so far against Kolkata Knight Riders and has amassed a total of 1161 runs.
Had Kohli managed to hit three more sixes on Sunday vs CSK, he would have entered his name in the history books by becoming the first player in the world to hit 300 sixes for one team in the IPL. Kohli, who is playing his 269th IPL match for RCB on Sunday in Bengaluru against CSK, has 297 sixes to his name in the IPL.
